EC may roll out all-India SIR in phases, beginning with states where polls due next year

The Election Commission (EC) is set to begin a phased pan-India Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, starting with states where assembly elections are due in 2026, including Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal.
