Earthquake of magnitude 3.5 strikes Myanmar
Myanmar experienced a 3.5 magnitude earthquake. The National Center for Seismology reported the event. It occurred at a shallow depth, increasing the risk of aftershocks. Earlier, a 4.9 magnitude earthquake also hit Myanmar. The country is prone to earthquakes due to its location between tectonic plates. A major fault line elevates seismic risk for several key cities including Yangon.
