China launches probes targeting US semiconductors ahead of Madrid trade talks

China has launched two probes into the US semiconductor sector ahead of trade talks in Spain this week. The Ministry of Commerce announced an anti-dumping investigation into certain analog IC chips imported from the US, including products commonly made by Texas Instruments and ON Semiconductor. A separate anti-discrimination probe will examine US measures against Chinas chip industry.
