Punjab Cabinet gives nod to denotify land pooling policy

The Punjab Cabinet has approved denotifying the land pooling policy, previously withdrawn amidst opposition pressure and a High Court stay. Amendments to the Punjab Cooperative Societies Act were also approved, removing stamp duty exemptions for certain societies to prevent illegal transactions. Additionally, the creation of 'Panchayat Development Secretary' post was approved to boost rural development.
