Karnataka BJP Urges Action Amid Law and Order Crisis

Karnataka BJP Urges Action Amid Law and Order Crisis Karnataka BJP president B Y Vijayendra on Saturday targeted the Congress government in the state alleging the collapse of the law and order situation and raised concerns about the safety of women, while urging the Siddaramaiah-led administration to ''wake up'' and take immediate measures in this regard. He also reiterated the party's demand that the state government hand over the probe relating to cases of sexual abuse of women against Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna to the CBI. ''From the time Congress came to power in the state, the law and order situation has completely deteriorated. Murders and extortions are taking place everywhere. There is rise in rape and love jihad cases. There are questions about women's security,'' Vijayendra said. Speaking to reporters here, Vijayendra said the deteriorating law and order situation is bringing disrepute to the state. ''There is a sense as though there is no government here and the police system is not functioning. As the government is not taking stringent measures, murders are on the rise in Karnataka. So we have held a protest across the state. ''It is already late now, we urge that the government should wake up at least now and discharge its duty of maintaining law and order, and take measures to give protection to women,'' he added. Protests were held by the mahila morcha (women's wing) of BJP across the state today and memorandums were submitted to Deputy Commissioners in all districts. In Bengaluru a delegation led by senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda submitted a memoranda to Director General of Police (DGP) Alok Mohan. The BJP's stand is very clear regarding cases involving Prajwal Revanna and charges of sexual abuse of women against him, Vijayendra, in response to a question, said and added that the state government has to take the issue seriously and handover the probe to the CBI. ''Every day new things are coming out in this case. So I demand that without any delay, Prajwal Revanna cases should be given to the CBI probe. Why is the government hesitant? Names of several senior leaders are also being heard in connection with the cases, and leak of alleged explicit videos. There cannot be fair probe by the Special Investigation Team (SIT),'' he said. The BJP is not supporting anyone in connection with these cases and only wants justice for women victims, Vijayendra said, adding that ''Instead of using the cases politically, government should immediately hand over them to the CBI aimed at providing justice for women victims...there is no question of any party here, it (alleged sexual abuse) was a henious crime, whoever is guilty, however big they are, they should be punished.'' The state BJP chief was responding to party leader and advocate G Devaraje Gowda who on Friday alleged that Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and four other ministers are behind the circulation of pen drives containing explicit videos involving Prajwal Revanna, and that he was being fixed in false cases as he did not agree to be part of their plan. Gowda, who is in custody after being arrested in a sexual abuse case and is also facing charges of video leak, has even alleged that he was offered Rs 100 crore by Shivakumar to ''bring a bad name'' to the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and to tarnish the image of JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy in Prajwal Revanna's obscene video case.

NIA Chargesheets 2 More in Transnational Human Trafficking Racket

New Delhi: Strengthening its case against human trafficking network, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday chargesheeted two men for illegally crossing into India 10 years ago and pushing Bangladesh nationals into forced labour. The NIA has filed a supplementary chargesheet against Muhammed Sahajalal Haldar and Muhammed Idris alias Erdish Khan, who were arrested in February this year with the help of the Internal Security Division of Karnataka after being on the run for months. The NIA had registered the case RC-01/2023/NIA/DLI on November 7, 2023, after receiving credible inputs about certain Karnataka-based entities working with facilitators and traffickers in Assam, Tripura and Bangladesh to establish a transnational human trafficking network. Nationwide searches by NIA had led to the arrest of several accused in the case and the agency had earlier chargesheeted 12 Bangladeshi nationals under IPC, Foreigners Act and Passport (Entry into India) Act. NIA investigations have revealed that Haldar and Idris, who had crossed into India through Benapole at the Indo-Bangladesh border, initially worked as waste segregators. They later rented land at Seegehalli and Margondanahalli respectively in Karnataka, and started their own waste segregation units by constructing godowns and temporary sheds. They used to employ trafficked Bangladesh nationals and force them into hard labour on meager wages under threat of arrest by the Indian police. As part of the elaborate human trafficking network, Bangladeshi nationals were being smuggled into India through the Indo-Bangladesh border on the false promise of secure jobs with valid Indian identity documents, as per NIA investigations. Further investigations are continuing to track other suspected traffickers, including dalals and touts, involved in the racket.

IPL 2024: Will Cheer Now For Sharma Ji Ka Beta At T20 WC, Says Rahul As LSG End Campaign With Win

Lucknow Super Giants: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper K.L Rahul said he, along with his father-in-law, will now be cheering for Sharma ji ka beta' and his teammates at the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup after their campaign in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 was done and dusted on Friday night at Wankhede Stadium. Speaking to the official broadcaster after LSG defeated Mumbai Indians by 18 runs at the Wankhede Stadium here past midnight on Friday, Rahul said, I have got my father-in-law's support now and we will both be cheering for Sharmaji ka beta (India captain Rohit Sharma) in the T20 World Cup. Rahul's answer alluded to the promotional video put out by broadcaster Star Sports about Rahul's father-in-law and famous film actor Suniel Shetty supporting Rohit Sharma, the top star of the local team Mumbai Indians, in IPL. Though Shetty traces his roots to Karnataka from where Rahul also hails, he has lived his life in Mumbai and made a name himself as a popular film star. The video released before the start of the IPL showed Shetty, whose daughter Athiya is married to KL Rahul, saying that relations did not matter during IPL and his support would rather go to the local boy than his son-in-law, who plays for the Lucknow team. The selectors have omitted Rahul from the World Cup team while Rohit will lead the side in the T20 World Cup starting on June 1 and being jointly hosted by the USA and the West Indies. Nicholas Pooran struck a sensational 28-ball 75 to help Lucknow Super Giants reach a challenging total before they came back after a 45-minute rain break to quell Mumbai Indians by 18 runs despite blazing half-centuries by Rohit Sharma and Naman Dhir.

School fees touch Rs 1.5L, parents forced to pay in single instalment

BENGALURU: With the new academic year just a few weeks away, schools have increased their fee structure, and parents are worried about paying the new fees for their children. Parents who have enrolled their kids in private schools affiliated to CBSE, ICSE or SSLC boards, said that the schools are forcing parents to pay the fees in one single instalment. Till the last academic year, fees could be paid in three instalments, and in some special cases, parents got more instalments to pay the fees. With the fee cycle hiked by at least 25-30 per cent in all schools, parents are in turmoil. Many have also approached Block Education Officers (BEOs) in their area, to seek a relief from paying such the hefty fee amount, in one go. Speaking to TNIE, President of Karnataka Private School College Parent Associations Coordination Committee, BN Yogananda emphasised that if the school management is not paying their staff annually, why should the parents pay the entire years fees even before the year begins. He added, The salaries for teachers and non-teaching staff is credited on a monthly basis, then why are schools applying this rule of annual payment on parents? They have already increased the fees substantially, post-COVID. However, they have not considered parents financial conditions. The president also alleged that 90 per cent of the schools have not clearly bifurcated the fee amount, nor have they provided enough details for the parents to have clarity on the parameters of the fee structure. A group of parents met the Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI), Bengaluru South, and the BEOs of the region, to discuss the matter. The fees comes close to Rs 1.50 lakhs for one child, for the academic year 2024-25. Karnataka urges Maharashtra to give water from Koyna dam

BELAGAVI: To tide over the worsening drought in several parts of Karnataka, the State Government has appealed to the Maharashtra government for release of water from Koyna dam to the Krishna river, Karantaka PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi has said. Speaking to the media in Belagavi on Friday, Satish said that the government is confident that Maharashtra would release water. The meagre amount of water available in the Krishna river currently would last only for the next 10 days, he said, adding that if the water was released from Maharashtras Koyna dam, it would help people of several drought-hit areas in North Karnataka. However, the government would utilise water from Hidkal dam to ensure a continued supply of water to all the affected areas if the situation demanded after 10 days, he said. Arrangements had been made to supply 1 tmcft of water from Hidkal dam to the Krishna river and another 1 tmcft would also be released soon, he said. Tahsildars have been asked to take immediate measures to ensure supply of drinking water in the affected areas, he added. Congress will win 14-17 seats in Karnataka Including the Belagavi and Chikkodi seats, the Congress would win 14 -17 seats in Karnataka in the Lok Sabha elections, Satish said. While stating that the Congress would win more number of seats in Mumbai and Hyderabad-Karnataka regions this time, he said, the decision of the party to field the children of Cabinet ministers would certainly help the party increase its seat tally. The decision to allot the party tickets to the children of ministers was taken by the Congress high command and the BJP had no moral right to criticise it, he said.

ECI relaxes MCC, Karnataka CM holds review meet

BENGALURU: After the Election Commission of India relaxed the model code of conduct in Karnataka to take up urgent works, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday convened a review meeting with his ministers and senior officials on drought, rain and pending projects. Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, Manojkumar Meena said the state government had sought certain permission like calling and finalising tenders and calling meetings by the CM and ministers, for which ECI gave permission. At the meeting, the CM was briefed on various issues by the chief secretary and other senior officials. Sources from the Chief Ministers Office said Siddaramaiaha got details on drought and action taken by officials. He was briefed on the loss caused by rain fury. He directed officials to write to the Central government to get pending grants. He told officials to take up tender works wherever they are required. The CM reportedly told officials to complete tender procedures by June this year. With the ECI relaxation, the CM can hold meetings and video-conferences with officials. But there is a restriction on him visiting places and convening meetings with officials there. He reportedly expressed his displeasure over many projects not getting completed. He told officials that if the money is available and not spent on works, the government will take action against such officials. The meeting also discussed the water crisis, especially the drinking water crisis. HD Revannas bail plea order reserved till Monday

BENGALURU: The 42nd Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court on Friday reserved the order on the bail petition filed by Holenarasipur MLA HD Revanna in a sexual harassment case till Monday. The court also extended his interim bail, which was granted earlier this week. Revanna came to the court barefoot for the hearing. Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Jayna Kothari requested the court for an in-camera hearing. The SPP told the court that Section 376 has been added based on the statements of the victim, and the hearing should be conducted in a sessions court and not at the magistrate court. Once a rape charge is pressed, it does not come under the jurisdiction of the magistrate court as Section 376 carries life imprisonment, the SPP argued. Meanwhile, the court, on Monday, will also decide whether to continue the hearing in the same court or to refer the case to a sessions court. The Holenarasipur Town police stations sexual harassment case against Revanna and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna should not be divided. It is not possible to say that Revanna is not accused of rape. Bail cannot be granted for the accused under CrPC Section 436, since IPC Section 376 is a non-bailable offence. Investigation against both the accused is still going on and the details will be known only after the chargesheet is filed. The victim, in her statements, has said that she could not bear the harassment from Revanna and Prajwal and left home. Ashraya Mane provided to the victim has been taken back and despite a complaint to the District Collector, no justice was delivered, Kothari argued. Ashok N Nayak, SPP, said that both Revanna and Prajwal have sexually assaulted the victim and she has been repeatedly raped and it is not possible to divide the accused and the case. Senior advocate CV Nagesh, who argued for Revanna, said the victims complaint has been typed and registered, while it should have been videotaped. The Act was amended in 2013 to protect the dignity of the victims. Rules are not followed. FIR had been registered illegally and it is a false case. Section 376 has not been mentioned in any of the notices given to Revanna so far and hence bail must be granted, Nagesh argued.

They held a closed-door meeting briefly and decided to take up the matters thoroughly in the next meeting as many of the top bureaucrats have not returned from their election duties. Revanna was also in a hurry to attend a court hearing concerning his bail. Even as reporters surrounded him for his reaction to the alleged sex scandal, Revanna said he would not react as the matter was in the courts. He also sidestepped questions regarding murmurs in political corridors about him being replaced as the committee chairperson.

RCBs fight will not just be with the Men in Yellow, but also with the Rain Gods as showers are forecast for Bengaluru on Saturday. RCB will need to win by at least 18 runs or chase the target with 11 balls to spare. A washout would mean CSK will sail to the playoffs.

DKS offered me Rs 100 cr to name HDK as mastermind: Devaraje Gowda

HASSAN: Giving a new twist to the Hassan sex scandal case, BJP leader and advocate Devaraje Gowda on Friday alleged that DCM DK Shivakumar had offered him Rs 100 crore to accuse former CM and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy of masterminding circulation of pen drives allegedly containing obscene videos of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna. Disclosing this to reporters on the district court premises here before the local police handed him over to SIT sleuths, Gowda alleged that the plan was to defame Kumaraswamy and end his political career. Shivakumar forced me to target Kumaraswamy as the mastermind behind the distribution of pen drives. Shivakumar threatened me that you will be safe only if you target Kumaraswamy in the pen drive case, he alleged. Gowda said Shivakumar allegedly formed a ministers committee comprising Chaluvarayaswamy, Krishna Byre Gowda and Priyank Kharge to deal with the issue. Shivakumar also hatched a conspiracy to tarnish the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government by linking Prajwal to the sex scandal. When I refused to obey his directions, the DCM sent former Congress MLC MA Gopalaswamy to a private club where I stayed to give me Rs 5 crore, Gowda alleged. Former MLA LR Shivarame Gowda also became a mediator between him and Shivakumar, he alleged and added that he has an audio conversation of Shivakumar targeting Kumaraswamy and Modi. I will release it at an appropriate time, he claimed. Predicting that the Congress government in the state will collapse immediately after he gets relief in this case, Devaraje Gowda said the police registered a rape case when he refused to act as per Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC president DK Shivakumars directives. Gowda further claimed that the evidence related to the pen drive case is safe with him and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the alleged sex scandal didnt get anything when it raided his house. He also blamed the IG, Southern Range, and the Hassan SP for the rape case filed against him. The court has the pen drive containing the footage of Prajwals former car driver Kartiks wifes abduction and not the alleged obscene videos of Prajwal. Ive applied for bail and will continue the legal battle till I get justice. Nobody is above law. Everybody should abide by law and respect it. The truth will prevail, he said.

Three-day synchronised elephant census in southern states from May 23

BENGALURU: An elephant census in the border areas of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh will be held from May 23 to 25. While the elephant census is usually held for an entire forest patch once every five years, this time it will be held only in the border areas of the southern states. The exercise aims to understand the area, the conflict and chalk out better policies for better coordination and future planning. This is the first time such an exercise is being carried out. It is the outcome of the inter-state coordination committee meeting held in March 2024 in Bandipur Tiger Reserve, said a senior Karnataka Forest Department official. The inter-state meeting was held after a radio-collared tuskless male (makhana) killed a man in Wayanad, Kerala. The makhana was radio-collared by Karnataka forest officials after it was captured in Hassan. In the meeting, an Interstate Coordination Committee Charter 2024 was prepared to foster collaboration for human-animal conflict mitigation. The charter was signed by chief wildlife wardens and heads of forest departments of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu on March 10, 2024. The charter listed five sections for implementation, one of them included population estimation exercises. Earlier in 202223, Karnataka had taken the lead for southern states elephant estimation reports, which showed that Karnataka topped the charts, housing 6,395 elephants. The report, Asian Elephant (Elephas maximus) Population Size and Structure Estimates for Karnataka-Interim Report, August 2023, also quoted that there has been an increase in the population by 346 since 2017. This census exercise will be limited to only the bordering areas to identify conflict areas and chalk out better solutions. On the first day (May 23), the block count will be done, the transect method will be done on May 24, and the waterhole count will be done on May 25. Radio-collared elephants will also be tracked. Only the wild ones will be tracked and assessed, not those in captivity. The all-India elephant assessment will be done later on a large scale, the official added. In Karnataka, the exercise will be done in Kolar, Bannerghatta National Park, Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary, MM Hills (all bordering Tamil Nadu), Bandipur Tiger Reserve (bordering Tamil Nadu and Kerala), Nagarahole Tiger Reserve (bordering Kerala), and all three divisions of Kodagu. The other forest divisions of the state are not included in this exercise.

Council polls: Four rebels could tilt the scales

BENGALURU: With biennial polls scheduled on June 3 for six council seats three Graduates and three Teachers it is becoming clear that rebellion could impact four seats. A number of leaders who have turned rebel and filed their nomination papers could turn the contest into a cliffhanger if they fail to concede to their party high commands diktat and remain in the fray. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is May 20. In North East Graduates seat (Ballari, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayanagara and Yadgir), Kalaburagi-Yadgir DCC Bank vice-president Suresh R Sajjan is the rebel candidate against BJPs official candidate Amarnath Patil. Former MLC Chandrashekar B Patil of the Congress is likely to benefit from this rebellion. In South West Graduates seat (Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Davanagere, Kodagu, Shivamogga & Udupi), both Dr Dhananjaya Sarji of the BJP and Ayanur Manjunath of the Congress are facing hiccups. Former three-time Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat has asserted that he will not withdraw his papers as there is a regional imbalance with the party not giving representation to Dakshina Kannada leaders in the Council polls. So, the going may be tough for Sarji, a newbie and a native of Shivamogga. For Ayanur, the situation would be no different as senior Congress leader SP Dinesh, who had contested twice consecutively and lost by a narrow margin, is reportedly firm on remaining in the fray. SL Boje Gowda of the JDS, who is the NDA candidate from South West Teachers seat (Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, two taluks of Davanagere, Kodagu, Shivamogga & Udupi) has an uphill task, as a popular figure in the cooperative movement, Dr SR Harish Acharya of the BJP, has filed his papers. Congress candidate K K Manjunath Kumar may take advantage of the rift in the BJP-JDS alliance. In Bengaluru Graduates seat (BBMP Central, North, South, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban & Ramanagara) where A Deve Gowda is the BJP nominee and Ramoji Gowda is contesting on a Congress ticket, there is no strong rebellion in either party. But KPCC social media general secretary Ferdinand Lawrence has also filed his papers, claiming to be the Congress rebel candidate. The South East Teachers seat is likely to witness a close contest between sitting MLC Y A Narayanaswamy of the BJP and DT Srinivas, husband of former Hiriyur MLA Poornima. The BJP-JDS leadership managed to quell the rebellion in South Teachers seat (Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Mandya & Mysuru) as BJPs EC Ningaraj Gowda was convinced to withdraw his papers in favour of JDS nominee K Vivekananda. Former MLC KT Srikante Gowda was keen to file his papers as a JDS rebel but could not do so as he was hospitalised on Thursday. Scrutiny of papers for SE Teachers seat adjourned The Election Commission of India (ECI) which scrutinised the nomination papers of the candidates in five Legislative Council seats on Friday, has deferred that of the South East Teachers seat to 3 pm on Saturday citing technical reasons. Fifteen people have filed 22 nomination papers for that seat. As many as 103 people have filed 156 nomination papers for the six seats that will go to the polls on June 3. The papers of 76 candidates were accepted to fight for the five seats on Friday. Nomination papers of candidates from all three major partiesJDS, BJP, and Congresswere accepted. There was also some issue with the Bengaluru Graduates seat, as the returning officer, Amlan Aditya Biswas, had rejected some papers of independents that were not in order. Scrutiny is quasi-judicial work done by the RO in front of candidates, clarified Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Meena.

Apart from this, 2,00,813 tonnes of coal is available at Udupi Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) which is managed by the Adani Group. We are in a comfortable situation. We are also getting imported coal which is blended with coal generated in other Indian coal mines. A total of 28 rakes are expected to arrive in the coming days. The government wants to ensure there are no power cuts, hence all thrust is on thermal at the moment. Besides, renewable energy is not a completely reliable energy source, said an official from the energy department, not wanting to be named. The official explained that at the moment, the state is generating 967MW of solar and 610MW of wind energy. The total power generated from non-conventional sources is 1,718MW, including mini-hydro and biomass. When there is cloud cover, like nowadays, there is zero solar generation in some places. Wind is also not constant. All organisations that run on solar energy during the day need equal or more thermal energy post sunset, like the airport. Also, hydro power generation is very limited at the moment because of the drought, the official said. According to KPCL, hydro generation is 790MW. The total thermal generation is 2,056MW from Raichur, Ballari and Yeramarus thermal power stations. There is an additional 888MW from IPP-thermal power plants. The power generation from state sources as on May 17, is 3,825MW. To meet net zero emission target and the Paris Agreement, there is a need to reduce coal-based power generation. But at moments like these, there is no option. It is the only reliable backup source of power. Thermal power also helps in keeping the grid support constant. So far, little progress has been made in energy storage. We are working on demand and supply model at the moment, the official added.

INDIA bloc will get 300 seats, all set to form government after June 4

AICC general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal claims that the INDIA bloc will win 300 seats and form the government after June 4. He tells Preetha Nair that all the constitutional bodies have been compromised under the BJP government and also accuses the Election Commission of being biased against Opposition parties. Excerpts: After the four phases, the INDIA alliance has been exuding confidence that the tide is in your favour. What is your assessment? We are confident that the INDIA alliance will get 300 seats and we will form the government after the election. The general mood in the Hindi heartland has changed in favour of the INDIA alliance. In the southern states, we are far ahead of the BJP. Out of the 28 seats in Karnataka, we expect to get a two-third majority. We secured only three seats in Telangana in the 2019 elections, but this time we will get 11-12 seats. In Kerala, the Congress will sweep the elections. The BJP will get zero seats in Tamil Nadu, and the alliance will sweep. In Maharashtra, too, the Maha Vikas Aghadi is poised to get at least half of the total seats. In Bihar also, we will score very well. In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP will lose 15- 20 seats and the INDIA may get around 40 seats. Our calculation is that we may get 10 seats in Rajasthan and 5- 6 in Haryana. But the BJP claims that it has crossed 270-mark after the four phases... In the beginning of the election, PM Modi set a target of 400 seats for the BJP. But the ground reality is entirely different. Now the BJP realised that it is losing many seats that it has won last time. The party is in panic. That is why the PM resorted to low-level attacks on secularism and religious identities. This hasnt happened in the history of Indian politics. Elections will come and go. But people have to live together. The PM is the first person to think about that. But unfortunately, there is no thinking from his side. If they are confident of getting 400 seats, why are they stooping to such levels? They are only talking about polarisation agendas. There is no talk of pressing issues such as unemployment, price rise, womens safety or agrarian crisis. People are fed up with this government. Do you see a repeat of 2004 this time? I would say that it will be a repeat of the 2009 elections. The government granted citizenship to its first batch of 14 refugees under the Citizenship Amendment Act on Wednesday. PM Modi said nobody can remove CAA. What is your partys position on this? The PM doesnt want to talk about the real issues in this election. We dont want to follow his agenda. Our position is that we will give citizenship to genuine people who deserve citizenship. Their agenda is to divide the people based on religion and communities, The CAA was passed in 2019 and they framed the rules after five years in 2024, Now in the middle of the election, they implemented it. The Congress is contesting fewer seats than ever in this election to accommodate INDIA bloc partners. Will the party make compromises if the INDIA bloc wins this election? This is a hypothetical question. I dont want to comment on that. We made sacrifices to reduce the maximum number of seats for the BJP. We have made sacrifices during the process of alliance discussions. Our country is going through a dangerous period under this government. Entire constitutional bodies have been compromised including the Election Commission of India. The Prime Minister is making hate speeches daily and the EC is a mute spectator. The EC is only there to act against the Opposition parties. PM Modi said that if the INDIA bloc gets a majority to form a government then the alliance has plans of appointing five Prime Ministers with one PM every year. This brings up the question of the PMs face for the alliance.. The PM is making such statements out of desperation. We will decide our PM candidate within 24 hours of the announcement of results. The new PM will rule for five years. Is Congress pitching for Rahul Gandhi as PM face? This is not the time to talk about it. After winning the election, we will sit together and decide the Prime Minister candidate. The PM has been attacking the Congress with allegations of appeasing Muslims and being anti-Hindu. He claimed that 15% of the UPA governments budget was for Muslims. How can the Prime Minister tell such lies to the country? Hes talking about the Muslim community and the Congress wants to ask him what he has given to the Hindus. The majority of the Indian youth are Hindus and are unemployed. Take the case of farmers, women and others..I dont want to talk like the BJP, But for the sake of argument, I want to ask them. He is only concerned about two or three Hindus like Adani and Ambani. PM Modi says that Congress will provide reservations to Muslims from the quotas earmarked for the Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs). At least four leaders of the BJP have spoken about changing the constitution if they get 400 seats in this election. Their idea is to give away this reservation system. When we complained to the Election Commission, then the BJP turned the table on us by saying that we will take away the SC/ST reservation. No one can change the OBC, SC/ST reservation system. We wont allow it, come what may. Will we see Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Congress top leaders campaigning together in the coming phases? State leaders are focusing on state-level programmes. There is no combined INDIA leaders programme anywhere. In Uttar Pradesh, we have an alliance with Samajwadi Party. That is why we are having joint programmes with Akhilesh today. Whenever we have joint programmes in Delhi, we will join the AAP leaders. INDIA bloc will win more than 300 seats in Lok Sabha elections: Uddhav
