On the 79th Independence Day, Jairam Ramesh commemorated Jawaharlal Nehru's initial address as Pradhan Sewak on All India Radio. Due to a busy schedule on August 15, 1947, Nehru first spoke from the Red Fort on August 16, invoking Mahatma Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose.
